The Enchanted Garden
Be swept away into a magical world when the sun goes down at Roma Street Parkland. Until 17 December the garden will come alive with a beautiful lighting display that's not to be missed.
Christmas carols
Sing along to your favourite Christmas carols at the Lord Mayor's Christmas Carols. Arrive early to this free event at Brisbane Riverstage on Saturday 9 December to make sure you get a seat.
Christmas movies
Laugh, cry and be entertained by Christmas movie cult classics in Roma Street Parkland or South Bank Beach this December. From Home Alone to Love Actually, there's a Christmas flick for everyone.
Unwind with yoga
Take care of yourself during this busy time of year by de-stressing and unwinding with yoga. Join in on one of many free or low-cost yoga classes taking place in Council parks or pools.
Wildlife presentation
Learn about Australian wildlife at this hands-on wildlife presentation at Karawatha Forest Park and Discovery Centre on 13 December. Get up close and personal with snakes, frogs, birds, lizards and more.
Chanukah in the City
On Sunday 17 December, head to Reddacliff Place to celebrate Brisbane's Jewish community. See the Menorah, a six-metre tall sacred candelabrum, lit up in celebration of Chanukah.
Circle of Sound
Make the most of the summer solstice with an evening on the Fig Tree Lawn at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Embrace life renewal as you're guided through vocal toning with Cathy Dean.
